The 2nd Generation of MOM, Youth on the Move (YOM) organizes South Bronx youth to take leadership for justice in their schools and community.

YOM Campaigns:

1.  School Safety at Bronx Guild High: The mayor entrusted the NYPD with student safety.  So why are we treated like criminals?  YOM has worked with the NYCLU and other student groups around the city to demand conflict mediation training and accountability from the police officers that stand between youth and our public education.

2.  Youth Led Group at Banana Kelly High: YOM successfully established a student group on campus that will ensure a student voice in decisions that affect them.

3.  Restore the School Budget! YOM students joined others across the city to demand the mayor restore the $99 million proposed cuts to public education.

YOM is a member of the Urban Youth Collaborative, along with Sistas and Brothas United, Make the Road By Walking and Future Of Tomorrow.

Join us the 2nd Monday of the month to meet with students across the city to strategize on school reforms to better prepare us for the road ahead.
